Below is a timeline of Ronda's milestones throughout her journey. We will also post significant events as they occur.
Ronda passes her swallow test and orders her first "drink" in over a month! Her drink of choice? CHOCOLATE MILK!
Ronda was able to lift her left leg without any assistance today. She walked the length of the short hallway while holding onto the railing and having her therapists assist. This was a BIG day for Ronda!
On this day a blood clot is found in Ronda's ankle after comparing of pain in her ankle. They next day she would go into surgery to put in a "filter" and everything goes well.
Larry Dix posts,
"Today Ronda Eatherton Dix will be dismissed from the Bryan Select Long Term Acute care facility and be moving down a few floors to Bryan West Acute care. This will allow Ronda to receive physical therapy 7 days a week. I hope and pray that she will be starting to gain more strength back since she is no longer receiving chemo or radiation. I am also glad that they will start to diminish some of the drugs that she was taking to curb the effects of chemo and radiation.
While we don’t know what this change will bring, I do know that Ronda is looking forward to it just as she has with every other change that has been tossed her direction. She remains positive and is ready for the challenge.
I will not know when the best time to visit will be until we get a better feel for her routine on the 3rd floor. I would assume that weekends and later afternoons will still be the best and I will update everyone on the room number and best visiting opportunities as soon as I know them. Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers.
#GBR – God Bless Ronda"
